Cygnets Model Boat Club @ Southern Model Air Show 2007

What a fantastic weekend (15th and 16th of September), did you miss it? Well what can we say, the photographs do not do justice to the success of this year's event but will hopefully give you a taster of what you missed out on. The weather was exceptionally kind, even with the wind that was experienced on the Sunday.

Special thanks have to be given to all the clubs and people that helped support the Cygnet MBC, here is a list, apologies if we have missed anyone: Black Park MBC, Ramsgate Vikings, AMBO, Chantry, Eastbourne, Southend, Crawley, Moorhen, Dover, Capstan, Broomfield, MMMS, Crowborough, John Bass, Dave Brumstead, Dolphins and the RNLI.

When looking around this year's show Model Boats were certainly out in their numbers, even getting close, if not exceeding, the number of Model Aircraft on display. Can we find any more for next year? If your club missed out this year why not get in touch to register your interest for next year's show, it's sure to be bigger and better.

Thanks have to be given to the couple of commercial stands that specifically supported model boating. It's only wished that there could be a few more, maybe next year if you missed out this year.

A special mention has to go to Phil Knell who usually is very much involved in the setting up and organisation of the event, but unfortunately this year was taken ill at the last minute. Without his initial setting up, this event would not have been possible, get well soon.
