Pilots and Slots

I've just received a copy of the draft "Pilots and Slots" paperwork and I have to say it's looking very good. Most disciplines and styles are covered and there is something for everyone.

Some highlights to wet your appetite.. (this covers just a few of the 40 slots at day !)
In the team flight slots, we have the infamous Red's (ATS Fun Fighters) back again this year as well as speed demons Weston UK, The impressive TJD Warbirds, Ace's UK and the chaotic but always entertaining Panic Team.
Scale fans need not worry with the world class "Dawn Patrol" WW1 planes plus several mixed classes of WW2 scale both small and large as well as a mix of pre and post-war birds.

Solos are being supplied by Aerobatic Ace and RCME reviewer Mike Williams, Steve & Matt Bishop, Dave Stephens and Aaran Stephens. Helicopter fans are well catered for with flights and demos from Danny Lock, Adam Turner, Barrie Williams, Steve Roberts, Roger Mayo and Dave Fisher.
Turbines are looking very good too with Hawks and Eurofighters through to the class leading Boomerang with one slot promising to put more than 12 in the air at one time !
Last but not least, we have a full range of Electric flight being demo'd.

We do have a favour to ask though. I enclose a note from Jim, Slots coordinator for the show...

Will any pilot who is booked in to fly at this years show, and who is NOT now going to be coming PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us know as soon as possible by emailing jim@southernmodelairshow.com

As you can see, slots are very busy at this show, and no-shows really affect our ability to maximise the flying for both the visitors and pilots – that’s you!  By telling us you will no longer be coming will mean more flying for everyone else plus some of the subs will get a go, and that could well be you in future years.

We will not accept notification in any form other than from the individuals directly, so if you know of someone who is not coming, PLEASE get them to drop us a line directly.

If you have already told someone that you will not be coming, say at another show, but have not told us in response to this request, will you please contact  us again via the email above. (Just for your information, we keep a list of every pilot that books in to each show, and every pilot that doesn’t attend or fly, and this information is considered when we make up the slots year on year).
