SMASNews Best in Show goes to Michel Donnaly flying the Tomahawk Futurua 1.9. This large scale jet was flown superbly in all weathers.

Southern Model Airshow 2011
Your favourite model airshow is back at the Hop Farm in 2011 with the normal mix of Planes, Trade and things to do and see.We will be in residence on the weekend of the 17th and 18th of September, keep an eye on the website for news as we get it but as usual we will be looking to make the show better and more entertaining than ever before.

This for us is a natural extension of this and we look forward to seeing what you took and what you thought. while somethings are our of our control, we will read and try to respond to all sensible comments and suggestions and they will all go to the organisers, after all the Southern Model Airshow has always been a show for enthusiasts by enthusiasts..
Bring and Buy
Old air frames cluttering up the hanger?, Need to clear some room in the workshop ? rather than leaving all your unused items to gather dust, why not bring them to the Bring and Buy and let us sell them for you ?This years Bring and Buy is bigger than ever and will be open for the entire duration of the show (both days). If you want to book anything in, please have a look at the Bring and Buy page and download the booking in form..
Trade Line Bookings
This years trade line is looking again to be the biggest and best ever with bookings already coming in. This is not only good news for the show but excellent news for anyone attending the 2011 show as, being the last major show of the season, there will be bargains galore.

What a great day, the weather has been stunning and we have seen some if the best model displays possible with a complete extreme of types and styles. This afternoon also saw a special guest fly (some say he only does F1 but we know better !). Dawn
patrol flew some of their superb WW1 models followed by the excellent T...JD WW2 warbirds - the full size were stunning as well with both Dave Stephens (Mustang) and Dennis Kenyon (R300 Heli) wowing the crowd. Tomorrow is also looking to be great..
